The International Journal of Educational and Social Technology Research (IJESTER) implements a double‑blind peer review process, in which both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous throughout the review period to ensure objectivity and fairness. The review process follows these steps:

 

1. Submission

Authors submit manuscripts through the IJESTER online submission system. The editorial office checks each submission for compliance with the journal’s scope, formatting guidelines, and completeness of required information. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors for revision before entering the review process.

 

2. Initial Screening

The Editor‑in‑Chief and/or Editorial Board members evaluate the manuscript’s relevance, originality, and alignment with the journal’s scope. Manuscripts may be rejected at this stage if they are outside the scope, have significant methodological weaknesses, or fail to meet ethical standards.

 

3. Plagiarism Check

All manuscripts undergo a plagiarism screening using reliable plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding the journal’s acceptable threshold will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected.

 

4. Peer Review Assignment

Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s scientific quality, clarity, contribution to the field, and adherence to ethical guidelines.

 

5. Review Process

Reviewers provide constructive feedback, recommendations, and suggestions for improvement. They will recommend one of the following decisions:

• Accept without revision
• Minor revision (requires small changes before acceptance)
• Major revision (requires significant changes before reconsideration)
• Reject

 

6. Author Revision

Authors receiving revision requests must respond to all reviewer comments and resubmit the revised manuscript within the specified deadline. Authors must provide a detailed response letter explaining the changes made.

 

7. Final Decision

The Editor‑in‑Chief makes the final publication decision based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the authors’ revisions, and the overall quality of the manuscript. The decision will be:

• Accepted for publication
• Rejected

 

8. Proofreading and Publication

Accepted manuscripts undergo language editing, formatting, and proofreading before being published online in the next scheduled issue.
